Your fertility tracking apps are sabotaging you
S’s ovulation was off by 3 days…omg!
Because she solely relied on the apps. And for who knows how long! Fertility Awareness is big. It's so important, in fact, that we spend 2 weeks talking about it at the top of every clients program. Understanding the physical cues your body sends you is the critical to understanding your fertility.
If you want to have a baby in 2026, fertility awareness + targeted nutrition is a non-negotiable.
Here's the thing
The apps are a fine starting point I guess but they're certainly not everything. There's a lot more to it.
S is an advanced maternal aged mama-to-be who's been highly engaged with her tracking app, Natural Cycles for a long time. Like, daily entries. She also invested in an Oura ring to enhance the quality of her data.
Sounds perfect right? Not so much.
These gadgets really become a barrier to fertility because they take away your very special connection to your own body. I almost always see a disconnect between app data and a clients physical cues, or lack thereof, that their body sends to alert them of a fertile window + ovulation date.
Not checking in with the physical fertile signs can be a biggggg roadblock on your way to baby. In this case, S's apps were off by a whole 3 days. It's highly unlikely she's been timing intercourse properly, missing lots of time to get her big fat positive.
She wouldn't have caught this had we not started working together.
